Peter Rigsby

Peter Rigsby joined NIBSC in 1997 as a statistician and has over 17 years’ experience in the application of statistical methods in the analysis of bioassays and international studies of biological reference materials. He is an author on more than 50 peer-reviewed publications.

He obtained his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford and his MSc in Biometry from the University of Reading. He is fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and gained his Chartered Statistician (CStat) qualification in 2002.

His interests include the application of statistical techniques to biological data, particularly in the areas of international standardisation of biologicals and batch release testing of vaccines.
