Dr Tim Rudd
Dr Tim Rudd completed his education at the University of Liverpool, spanning 1996 to 2006. His postgraduate training centred on the physical analysis of biological interactions at surface, which involved using biophysical techniques to monitor the interactions between proteins and glycosaminoglycans. After finishing his PhD, Dr Rudd moved to specialise in characterising glycosaminoglycans and their interaction with proteins using spectroscopy. Initially holding a postdoctoral position at the University of Liverpool and then roles at the Ronzoni Institute, Milan (2010-2012) and Diamond Light Source (B23 - circular dichroism) (2012-2015).
Since 2015 Dr Rudd has held the position of Group Manager NMR at NIBSC, using NMR spectroscopy to characterise biological medicines, including both carbohydrate and protein based materials.
