Dr Anthony Hubbard  

From a background in novel drug delivery and analysis, Dr Anthony Hubbard joined NIBSC in 1982 to undertake testing, standardisation and research activities related to the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of blood coagulation.

He is currently leader of the Haemostasis Section in the Biotherapeutics Group. The Section is responsible for the Independent Control Testing of plasma-derived therapeutics and the development of over 40 WHO International Standards related to the diagnosis and therapy of bleeding and thrombotic disorders. These core activities are complemented by research activities, including the evaluation of new therapeutics, and advisory roles on scientific committees.
