NIBSC contributes to global flu vaccination effort

20 February 2014

The World Health Organisation (WHO) announced this morning the recommended composition of influenza vaccines for the upcoming northern hemisphere influenza season 2014 to 15.

This recommendation follows a three-day consultation involving a core group of global influenza organisations and regulators. One of the main UK representatives is the WHO Essential Regulatory Laboratory (ERL) at NIBSC.

NIBSC played a key role in providing analysis to the WHO consultation and continues its vital role in the global influenza vaccine production cycle.
