  • Update on official control authority batch release (OCABR) testing following the extension to Article 50

(Withdrawn) Update on Official Control Authority Batch Release (OCABR) testing

This content was withdrawn on 31 January 2020. See Control Testing for current information.

During the transition period the UK will continue to hold full membership rights and the UK will continue to fulfil its obligations as a member.

NIBSC will continue to perform official control authority batch release (OCABR) testing of blood products, vaccines and other biotherapeutics for the UK and European market following guidelines of the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM).

This means business as usual for NIBSC whereby products tested and certified by NIBSC can continue to be marketed within Europe. NIBSC will continue to ensure batches of biological medicines are swiftly and successfully released onto the UK and European market.

If you require any further information or for any specific requirements please contact cpb@nibsc.org as soon as possible.
